  • 2008 was a dress rehearsal. Rice tripled, wheat +136%, maize +125%, fertilizer tripled. Export bans spread, riots in 12+ countries, Haiti's PM fell. It ended in 6 months because 4 buffers happened to hold: the oil price crashed and reversed the energy shock, food stocks existed to release, rich donors paid (World Bank, IMF, FAO $1.2bn pledge), and the next two harvests were good.
  • Benfotiamine (B1), Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA), and Niacin/Nicotinamide (B3) are commonly taken together to support better blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity, protect nerves (especially in diabetic neuropathy), boost energy production and mitochondrial function, and provide antioxidant and anti-aging benefits.
  • A circulating YouTube video claims the current El Niño is rapidly collapsing and turning into a La Niña, based on cooling in the western Pacific near Australia. Independent agricultural meteorologist Johan van den Berg rejects this view.
  • One of our top priorities is to provide a professional platform where people in farming and agriculture can share their perspectives and add value. We see so much potential in our women and youth.
