Upington, founded in 1873 on the banks of the Orange River in the Northern Cape, is one of the world’s largest producers of table grapes and raisins. The future of agriculture will not be built by chemicals alone, but by smart, integrated systems. The most successful and profitable farms in the coming years will be those that master nutrient cycling, soil regeneration, and integrated crop-livestock systems.
