Cancer is growing and growing.
I have written many articles regarding cancer and the treatment that is so devastating when it comes to Chemo.
Hardly a day goes by without hearing that someone has been diagnosed with cancer or has passed away after a long battle with the disease. It is heartbreaking to see families lose loved ones and to watch people endure months or even years of treatment while hoping for recovery.
Over the years, I have met many people in my practice living with cancer who have undergone chemotherapy, radiation therapy or both. Every person's journey is different. Some respond well to treatment and achieve remission but do not have the same life anymore while others experience significant side effects that affect their strength, appetite and destroy their body, health and life.
Watching someone become weaker with Chemo that is destroying their life is emotionally difficult for both patients and their families. Most of them used their hard earning money to pay for this greedy medical system and at the end they have a life that is hard and lonely.
Many people place great hope in chemotherapy because it remains one of the standard treatments for many types of cancer. It has helped save lives, shrink tumours and improve survival for numerous patients who will never have a perfect health as before.
At the same time, chemotherapy cause devastating side effects because it affects rapidly dividing cells, including healthy cells and much more.
Perhaps one of the greatest challenges is that too much attention is often given to treating disease after it develops, while not enough attention is paid to prevention, early detection and reducing risk factors.
Healthy lifestyle choices, avoiding tobacco, limiting alcohol, maintaining a healthy weight, being physically active and maintaining your health with a professional Health practitioner who can assist in other preventions.
Cancer remains one of the greatest health challenges of our time. While treatment continues to improve, there is also a growing need to invest in prevention, research and personalised care that supports the whole person—not only the disease. Cancer treatment by the medical profession is billion dollar income-and it is a dream if you believe they will find a cure for Cancer.
Over a 5-year treatment, the medical profession makes almost R4 million from one patient — paid by medical aid, plus extra out-of-pocket costs. Everyone involved makes a living, and the patient dies. To me, my family member was just another number in the system.
It’s time to break bad habits and start taking care of your health. Instead of relying on social media and trying to diagnose yourself, visit a professional health practitioner with years of practical experience.

Listening to Your Body:
I studied Chinese medicine in Hong Kong many years ago, and I still use it in my practice for certain disorders. Lately I’ve found that this field, often called TCM, has a huge place in today’s healthcare. I myself started using it more after I gained access to genuine medical-grade raw materials in my practice.
For thousands of years, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has viewed the human body as an interconnected system where everything works together in harmony. One of its best-known concepts is the 24-hour body clock, which teaches that each organ has a period during the day and night when its energy is believed to be at its strongest.
According to this ancient philosophy, the body follows natural rhythms that influence sleep, digestion, energy levels and overall well-being. Rather than seeing the body as a collection of separate organs, TCM views it as a network in which every system communicates and supports the others.
For example, waking regularly at the same time during the night, feeling unusually tired at certain times of the day or experiencing changes in digestion may be seen as signals that the body is trying to communicate that something needs attention. These observations encourage people to become more aware of their daily habits, stress levels, nutrition, sleep patterns and overall lifestyle.
Although these concepts have been practised for centuries, it is important to understand that the Traditional Chinese Medicine body clock is based on ancient healing philosophy and is not established by modern medical science. Scientific research has confirmed that the body does follow natural biological rhythms, known as circadian rhythms, which regulate sleep, hormone production, body temperature and many other important functions. However, the idea that each organ has a specific two-hour period of peak activity is a traditional belief rather than a conclusion supported by modern medical evidence. Even so, the principles behind the body clock offer an important reminder. Modern life often encourages late nights, irregular meals, chronic stress and poor sleep habits, all of which can disrupt the body's natural rhythms. Taking time to rest, eating balanced meals, staying physically active and maintaining a regular sleep schedule can all support better health and well-being.
Perhaps the greatest lesson from Traditional Chinese Medicine is that the body is constantly communicating with us. It often gives subtle signals long before more serious health problems develop. Learning to pay attention to changes in energy, sleep, digestion and overall health may help people make positive lifestyle changes earlier.
Whether viewed through the wisdom of ancient healing traditions or the lens of modern science, one message remains timeless: caring for your body every day, respecting its natural rhythms and listening to the signals it gives are important steps towards maintaining long-term health and balance.
Your Migraine
Most people believe a migraine starts when the headache pain begins, but those who live with migraines know it often starts much earlier with subtle prodromal signs such as light feeling off, ordinary sounds becoming draining, and even simple thinking requiring extra effort.
The pain is simply the loudest and most memorable part of the experience. The text highlights how the brain is constantly performing complex, delicate work—processing sensory input, coordinating movement, managing emotions, and balancing billions of neural signals every second.
We usually take this stability for granted and assume it is effortless, but maintaining that balance is one of the most remarkable things the human body does. It explores the connection between obesity and migraines, noting that obesity influences sleep, inflammation, insulin sensitivity, and overall metabolic health, thereby shaping the biological environment in which the brain operates.
This is associated with more frequent migraine attacks, yet the relationship is complex and multifactorial—obesity does not directly cause migraines. The core message encourages shifting the central question from "Why does my head hurt?" to a deeper one:
"What made it harder for my brain to maintain balance?" ROOTS-AI embodies this perspective by focusing not just on the headache itself but on the underlying biology that may have been straining the brain long before pain emerges. It examines patterns related to brain metabolic resilience, sleep recovery, metabolic flexibility, circadian rhythms, and early biological changes that affect how well the brain handles everyday demands.
Ultimately, pain is merely the moment we finally notice the struggle. Long before that, the brain had been quietly working to preserve the delicate balance and stability most of us never even notice.
During an attack, waste clearance in the brain can slow down a bit and inflammation increases, so you feel heavy and drained Triggers like dehydration, lack of sleep, certain foods, stress, and hormone shifts can make attacks more likely After the attack your brain is in “recovery mode” so the fatigue and brain fog feel toxic.
Always remember- you need to find the root coarse - do not keep on treating the symptoms.
The Hidden Role of Metabolic Health and Visceral Fat.
Every day it really does feel like obesity and weight struggles are everywhere, and then you hear the numbers people are spending on doctor visits, diets, supplements, “quick fixes”… it adds up so fast. And a lot of it doesn’t actually fix the root problem.
And yeah, with GLP-1s like Ozempic the conversation gets even heavier. For some people they’ve been life-changing, but you also hear about the side effects — nausea, fatigue, muscle loss, and the rebound weight when they stop. It’s tough to see something that started as diabetes medication turn into this huge money-making trend, where people’s health and desperation are part of the business model. It makes sense that it makes you sad. And if your hear how much they spend on these drugs and the people behind it- you only get one word- GREEDINESS
It feels like people are stuck between expensive medical cycles and risky shortcuts, instead of getting real, sustainable support.
Obesity is increasingly being recognized not just as excess body weight, but as a sign that the body’s metabolic systems are losing coordination and efficiency.
In the early stages, seemingly unrelated issues — such as slightly elevated blood sugar, rising blood pressure, creeping cholesterol levels, and gradual weight gain — often appear disconnected. However, together they signal that the body’s natural balance is beginning to break down.
Sometime, organs like the liver, pancreas, and blood vessels adapt to these shifts, while excess visceral fat — the deep fat stored around internal organs — actively releases inflammatory substances and hormones that further disrupt metabolism. This progressive loss of harmony between body systems is known as metabolic syndrome
.While many people focus on visible subcutaneous fat under the skin, the greater health threat is visceral fat — the hidden fat that wraps around the liver, pancreas, heart, and intestines. Unlike subcutaneous fat, visceral fat functions as an active endocrine organ. It produces inflammatory cytokines, hormones, and signaling molecules that promote insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, cardiovascular disease, hormonal imbalances, cognitive decline, and higher cancer risk.
Even lean individuals can carry dangerous levels of this internal fat, a condition known as TOFI (thin outside, fat inside). Conversely, some heavier people with mostly subcutaneous fat distribution may be metabolically healthier.
Visceral fat accumulation is strongly driven by factors such as chronic cortisol elevation from stress, high insulin levels triggered by refined carbohydrates and fructose, poor sleep, gut dysbiosis, sedentary lifestyles, and exposure to environmental toxins. These create self-reinforcing cycles that make visceral fat particularly resistant to simple calorie counting.Reducing visceral fat effectively requires more than aggressive dieting.
The most successful approaches focus on addressing root causes: managing stress and cortisol levels, prioritizing consistent high-quality sleep, combining zone 2 aerobic exercise with resistance training, practicing time-restricted eating, eliminating fructose and ultra-processed foods, restoring gut health, and using targeted support such as berberine, omega-3 fatty acids, and adaptogens.Ultimately, visceral fat is not merely stored energy — it is the metabolic signature of a body under chronic physiological stress.
True improvement comes from restoring hormonal balance, lowering inflammation, and supporting the body’s overall terrain rather than relying solely on calorie restriction.Early recognition of these interconnected changes offers the best opportunity to restore metabolic health and prevent longer-term disease.
Cancer isn’t just a tumor to be cut, burned, or blasted away. We must find the root cause—the environment in our body that forces cancer cells to grow. Cancer cells form because the body’s conditions make them find a way to survive. To understand the suffering and emotional stress of a cancer patient, it needs to hit close to home, like your child, mother, father, or husband. They need your support and much more to survive. We need to stop thinking of cancer as only a tumor and focus on what causes it.
The Gut and the Brain
The gut and brain have long been intuitively linked across cultures through expressions like "gut feelings" and "butterflies in the stomach." Modern neuroscience confirms this connection as a sophisticated, bidirectional network of neural, hormonal, immunological, and metabolic pathways that profoundly influences mental and neurological health. The vagus nerve serves as the main superhighway, with 80% of its fibers carrying information from gut to brain about motility, nutrients, microbes, hormones, and inflammation. The enteric nervous system acts as a "second brain" with hundreds of millions of neurons, producing most of the body's serotonin.
The HPA stress axis and the gut's massive immune system further link the two organs, where leaky gut and bacterial LPS translocation trigger systemic neuroinflammation. The microbiome emerges as a central player. Germ-free animal studies show it shapes brain development, stress responses, BDNF levels, serotonin metabolism, and behavior. Specific bacteria influence neurotransmitter production (serotonin, GABA, dopamine), while short-chain fatty acids like butyrate cross into the brain to reduce inflammation, promote BDNF, and support neuroplasticity. Dysbiosis diverts tryptophan from serotonin toward neurotoxic kynurenine metabolites via inflammation-activated IDO enzymes.
These mechanisms help explain strong gut-brain ties in many conditions. In depression and anxiety, gut issues like IBS correlate with higher rates, driven by LPS, inflammation, and vagal dysregulation. Autism often involves GI symptoms and microbiome differences, with some improvement seen after microbiota transfer. Parkinson's may originate in the gut's enteric system and spread via the vagus years before motor symptoms, supported by early constipation, alpha-synuclein patterns, and vagotomy protection.
Similar microbiome shifts and LPS involvement appear in Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, and schizophrenia.Practically, supporting brain health through the gut involves a diverse Mediterranean-style diet rich in plants, fiber, fermented foods, omega-3s, and polyphenols.
Targeted psychobiotics, vagal tone practices (breathing, exercise, cold exposure), gut barrier repair (glutamine, zinc, Saccharomyces boulardii), and stress management help restore balance. While not every mental health issue stems solely from the gut, the documented pathways make gut health a crucial, evidence-based consideration alongside conventional treatments. The science underscores that mind and body, particularly gut and brain, cannot be effectively separated.
You need to use the correct RAW material and co factor to maintain this connection.
Losing a daughter — or any child — to cancer is an unimaginable pain. No parent should ever have to watch their child suffer for years through the brutal side effects of chemotherapy, only to lose them in the end. The helplessness, the exhaustion, the financial strain, and the emotional devastation that families go through is crushing. What you’re describing is a grief that never fully leaves.
TAKE NOTE- NSAIDs block inflammation enzymes but those same enzymes protect the stomach lining, kidneys, and heart, so they can cause ulcers, kidney damage, and heart risks. Steroids reduce inflammation but also shut down the body’s own cortisol production, thin bones, raise blood sugar, waste muscle, and affect mood.

Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of writing several books about health and the natural functioning of the human body, as well as a few others aimed at inspiring young people to discover their true potential. One of these books, “Discover Yourself to Become Yourself,” has already been reprinted four times. This book can help awaken a deeper understanding of yourself, your purpose, and your health. I am currently busy writing a book about healing yourself—the real healing process and the simplicity of how the body, mind, and soul can restore themselves. The aim of the book is to help people understand themselves better, take responsibility for their own health, stand on their own feet, and become less dependent on a medical system that often tries to control every aspect of health.

Too Much Health Advice, Too Much Confusion
Not a day goes by without another health story appearing on social media. Every day there seems to be a new "expert" telling people what to eat, what supplements to take, which disease they might have, or which miracle product will change their lives. While social media has made health information more accessible than ever, it has also created a great deal of confusion.
Many people believe almost everything they hear from content creators, without asking where the information comes from or whether it is supported by reliable scientific evidence. Some creators have genuine qualifications and years of clinical experience, but many others simply repeat information they have read elsewhere or generated with artificial intelligence. Their main goal is often to build a large following before selling products, courses or paid advice.
One of the biggest dangers is trying to diagnose yourself based on symptoms described online. Many different health conditions share similar symptoms, and the same symptom can have many different causes. A headache, fatigue or digestive problem cannot be accurately diagnosed by watching a short video or reading a social media post. Proper healthcare requires understanding the whole person, not just matching symptoms to a list on the internet.
Pregnancy is another area where many first-time mothers are overwhelmed with advice. They receive endless lists of what they should and should not do from social media, friends, family and healthcare providers. While much of this advice is well intentioned and some of it is evidence-based, the sheer volume of information can create unnecessary anxiety during what should be a joyful time.
Having a baby has become increasingly expensive, with numerous tests, products and services marketed to expectant parents. Some are medically important, while others may not be necessary for every pregnancy. It is reasonable for parents to ask questions, understand why a test or treatment is recommended, and discuss options with their healthcare team.
The internet has also amplified debates about newborn care, including topics such as bathing after birth. Parents should know that recommendations on newborn care have changed over time as new research has become available. Rather than relying on social media claims, it is best to discuss these questions with qualified healthcare professionals who can explain the current evidence and what is most appropriate for the individual baby.
Social media can be a valuable source of education, but it should never replace personalised medical advice. The best health decisions are made by combining trustworthy information, professional guidance and an understanding that every person is unique. Before believing the latest online health trend, take the time to ask an important question: Is this information based on evidence, or is someone simply trying to gain followers or sell a product?
Blood tests and medical tests are useful, but they’re only one part of understanding your health. Doctors combine them with your symptoms, history, physical exam and lifestyle to get the full picture, and no single test or device can tell you everything on its own.
Take care of your health.
If you’ve been receiving cancer treatment for years from the same medical doctor, it’s wise to seek a second opinion. Many doctors only focus on the cancer itself and overlook what the treatment is doing to the rest of your body. Sometimes, real healing begins when you stop seeing only the cancer and start looking deeper — at what your body truly needs to repair, rebuild, and restore balance.

Heavy Metal DETOX
Heavy metal detoxification is widely discussed but often handled poorly, caught between two extremes. Some wellness influencers push aggressive chelation, high-dose supplements and fast “detoxes” that mobilize metals from tissues faster than the body can eliminate them. That can redistribute metals like mercury and lead into the brain and other sensitive organs and actually worsen toxicity. On the other side, conventional medicine largely dismisses chronic low-level exposure, even though mounting evidence links long-term accumulation of lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic to inflammation, hormonal, neurological and metabolic dysfunction. The reality is that chronic low-level exposure is common today through food, water, dental materials, occupation and the environment. The body wasn’t designed to handle these concentrated, ongoing exposures. Heavy metals are inorganic ions, not organic compounds, so they must be bound by chelators like glutathione and metallothionein before they can be excreted. When exposure exceeds that capacity, metals deposit in tissues where they can stay for years: lead in bone with a 10–20 year half-life, mercury in brain, kidney and thyroid, cadmium in kidney for 20–30 years, arsenic cycling faster but still accumulating in some tissues. Blood tests often miss this stored burden.Toxicity happens in several ways. Heavy metals displace essential minerals like zinc, selenium, calcium and iron, disrupting enzymes and hormone receptors. They generate oxidative stress, deplete glutathione, damage mitochondria, and impair DNA repair. They bind to enzyme sulfhydryl groups, blocking systems involved in energy, antioxidant defense and neurotransmission. In the brain they can contribute to cognitive decline, mood changes and developmental harm. As endocrine disruptors they can affect thyroid, testosterone, estrogen and insulin signaling.Exposure sources are everywhere: lead from old paint, pipes and contaminated soil; mercury from dental amalgam, coal emissions and large predatory fish; cadmium from tobacco and food grown in contaminated soils like rice; arsenic from groundwater and rice; aluminum from cookware, antiperspirants and additives.Testing is also complicated. Blood reflects recent exposure, urine reflects what’s being excreted, hair and nails give a longer window, and provoked urine tests with chelators are controversial and can be risky without proper support. No single test captures total body burden, so clinical context matters. The safe approach is not aggressive chelation first. It’s sequential. First reduce ongoing exposure by filtering water, choosing low-mercury fish, addressing amalgam removal safely, and limiting contaminated foods. Second, support elimination pathways for 4–8 weeks: optimize glutathione with NAC, glycine and selenium, support liver bile flow and kidney hydration, and maintain gut integrity and regular bowel movements to prevent reabsorption. Third, replete depleted nutrients: zinc, selenium, iron, calcium, magnesium, B vitamins, vitamin C and E, and CoQ10. Only then introduce gentle mobilization with things like modified citrus pectin, chlorella, garlic, alpha lipoic acid, and in some cases pharmaceutical chelators like DMSA, DMPS or EDTA under medical supervision. Sauna and sweating can also support excretion. This is a slow process measured in months to years, not weeks. The key warning is redistribution. Mobilizing metals without adequate elimination support can push them into more sensitive tissues and make symptoms worse. That’s why preparation, pacing, mineral monitoring, and medical supervision for pharmaceutical chelation are essential.Ultimately, the burden is real and it can be reduced, but only with a patient, systematic approach that supports the body’s own detox systems rather than overwhelming them.
It is good to do yearly medical blood tests to check for chronic diseases or cancer, but the more important question is: What are you doing to prevent disease and maintain your health before something goes wrong?Medical tests are mostly designed to detect disease, not necessarily to maintain health. True health maintenance comes from how you live every day and how well you support your body’s systems. It is good to do yearly medical blood tests to check for chronic diseases or cancer, but the more important question is: What are you doing to prevent disease and maintain your health before something goes wrong? Medical tests are mostly designed to detect disease, not necessarily to maintain health. My passion has always been to help people heal — to help you feel better, look better, and regain your health naturally. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that true health is not about quick fixes or simply treating symptoms. It’s about understanding the body properly, identifying the root causes, and supporting the body so it can restore itself naturally.
For more than 25 years, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, and every person has taught me something valuable. Through practical experience and constant learning, I’ve seen how much more effective health support becomes when you focus on the whole body instead of just one symptom. Real health takes understanding, patience, and the willingness to keep learning.
Every month, when I spend time learning from mentors and expanding my knowledge of real health, I realize how much my passion continues to grow. The more I learn, the more I understand how much there still is to discover. This continuous learning, together with years of practical hands-on experience, makes my work easier and allows me to help people in a more meaningful way.
I want to thank every client who has supported me, sent messages, and referred others. I deeply appreciate every person who travels from across South Africa and even from international locations to come for assessments. Your trust and believe in me means a great deal to me. This work has never been just a business. It has always been a calling. Seeing people regain their energy, improve their health, and enjoy life again is what motivates me every day. To everyone who has trusted me with your health journey — thank you. Your progress, your stories, and your commitment inspire me to keep learning, growing, and helping others. My goal remains the same: to continue finding the root causes of health problems and helping people restore their wellbeing naturally.

The saying “a prophet is not acknowledged in his own land” means that people often fail to recognize or value the wisdom, talent, or significance of someone from their own community or homeland. It suggests that familiarity breeds skepticism or indifference, and individuals are more likely to be respected or appreciated by outsiders than by those closest to them.
TAKE NOTE -The medical and natural health professions are causing public alarm with frequent warnings about serious health issues like cancer, prompting people to rush to doctors for tests and deplete their medical funds. The natural health industry promotes supplements as alternatives, often with bold promises, but many products lack transparent ingredient lists, raising concerns about their legitimacy. Consumers are advised to avoid purchasing such products, as they may be marketed online primarily for profit rather than genuine health benefits.

BOODSKAP
CANCER- The medical system need to take notice
There is growing concern from many people that parts of the modern medical system, especially when it comes to cancer treatment, are not always easy on the body. Treatments like chemotherapy are designed to destroy rapidly dividing cancer cells, but they can also affect healthy cells. This is why many patients experience strong side effects and feel physically weakened during treatment.

However, it is important to be careful not to oversimplify this. Chemotherapy has helped extend and save many lives, even though it can be physically demanding. The real challenge is that it is often a trade-off between targeting the disease and managing the impact on the rest of the body. What is true, though, is that during such treatments the body is under significant stress and has increased nutritional and metabolic needs. Supporting the body properly during this time — with adequate nutrition, recovery, and medical guidance — becomes critically important.
